The center of the Christian music industry has
long been the CBA Retailer. At CMDB, we believe that CBA Retailers will continue to be the
strength of the industry even in the new Internet era. CBA Retailers collectively have more product
on their shelves than any warehouse could hope to attain, they often have employee time
available to do light packaging and shipping during off hours, and will always benefit
from additional sales volume. Through the CMDB Network, CBA Retailers can benefit from
Internet sales in an unprecedented way without the trouble and expense of developing and maintaining
a website, online credit card processing, scanning product graphics, online customer service,
and all the other hassle and expense associated with selling music online.
CMDB handles the entire Internet side of the transaction, and routes
orders to CBA Retailers in the network to ship the product. Retailers receive one
payment from CMDB each month, with a statement showing all the items shipped and the
price paid for each product. There is no cost to join the network, and no long term
commitment required. The only commitment a bookstore must make is to assign an employee to
check for new orders every day and make sure that the list of products available for
sale is accurate.
All participants must be active retailers with a valid resellers
permit and all products listed for sale through the network must be currently in stock
and ready to ship immediately. The rest of the details of the system are available
through a Distributor Control Center, which is customized for each CBA Retailer
after completion of the form below.
